crafted by highly skilled woodwork artist Buddy Means of Yoakum, Texas. The table is made from Parota wood from interior Mexico. The base is made of moose and elk antlers.

II – Legendary Cow Pasture Golf at the Historic Friar Thomas Ranch

Buyers Beware!!! You will need to sharpen up your golf skills for October 30th. There will be a golf challenge on the links at the Friar Thomas Ranch. In addition to great pasture golf and good times with friends there will be ice cold libations to quench your thirst and ranch fare to fill your belly at the ranches’ Topo Chico Lounge. This is sure to be a good ole time at the ranch.

III – Everything Locally Sourced … From Music to Chefs

Imagine you and your friends through the panoramic lens of history being entertained from the music to the chefs with everyone and everything local. Arriving at the prestigious Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum early evening, 6 couples or 12 friends will be transported westward to Robert Oliver’s magnificent Bellevue Ranch which will be a unique journey of its own. Cocktail hour under the stars will feature exquisite hors d’oeuvres and bubbly champagne. For the ambiance of spectacular outdoor dining you will travel westward once again to the lovely Ron Walker Querencia Ranch. Nestled on the ground is the newly renovated old Wallis Ranch Schoolhouse established in 1886 (later to become the Westhoff ISD School Cafeteria when consolidation of school districts took place in the 1950’s) Some of the local top chefs in surrounding counties will be bringing to the table an assortment of traditional Texas Ranch cuisine from the fruit of the Texas coast to South Texas Wild Game. Live entertainment provided by our very own Matt Thigpen. October 16th will be the magical date for this journey to a bygone era. You will not want to miss out on this!

IV – Invest in a Piece of History Flip-Load-And Go!

Invest tonight in a piece of history that is representative of the Chisholm Trail Era. Where else could you find such an exceptional example of a First Edition 1866 Allen Conversion Springfield Trapdoor Rifle than here tonight? This original rifle is an exceptional example of a period correct weapon that has survived extremely well through the years. Constructed after the Civil War it fires just as straight as it did in 1866. Shoulder this masterpiece and step back in time. It would have “Won the West” designed to be loaded fast—an average of 8 to 10 shots a minute. All the Chisholm Trail Cowboys had to do was Flip-Load-And Go. It is a 50/70 Government with original armory pieces and all of the original proof marks.

This saddle is a one of a kind, A fork style saddle tree, built in house with a state of the art tree manufacturing system, hand crafted out of Herman Oak skirting leather, and custom designed hardware. Commemorative concho’s customized by Greg Seiler. It is pure quality created to ridged specifications for fit. Double J Saddlery under the leadership of the DeBord Family has made saddles for some of the top horsemen in the world. One of their strongest assets is that they use what they make and ride virtually every day competing on a national level in team roping. This is an amazing masterpiece you do not want to miss out on. It will indeed complete your journey to a bygone era and feature you as “ Riding with the Best in the West.”
