Join us at 10:00 am outside the Museum for the unveiling of a recent gift to the Museum, a life-sized bronze horse and rider sculpture titled, “The Hungry Loop,” by American artist Herb Mignery.
Dedication by CTHM chairman Robert Oliver and guest of honor Katherine Reilly.
Proceed to the Museum for:
• Invocation, Rev. Al Taylor, DeWitt Historical Commission
• Gallery talk by Ron Davis, Co-Curator of “Black Cowboys: An American Story,” Witte Museum, San Antonio
• Gallery talk by Larry Callies, founder of the well-known Black Cowboy Museum, Rosenberg, Texas
• Presentation and Proclamation by Mayor Sara Meyer
• Closing remarks
Tour the show, and afterwards join us on the green for a complimentary chuck wagon lunch.
