The Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C. is a national treasure. Home to top academics in many important fields of research, the Institute explores the full panorama of American life. With nine individual museums of history, science, culture and art, the Smithsonian offers important perspectives on our past, present and future as a nation.
CTHM is pleased to announce we will host “Water/Ways,” a Smithsonian Museum on Main Street program. Water/Ways is a “deep dive” into the huge topic of water – an essential component of life on our planet. Learn the poetic and cultural lore of water, and consider the power of water as shaper of the worldwide political, economic, and environmental landscape. An immersive and interactive experience for all ages.
This special exhibit is scheduled for July 23 through September 11, 2021. It is free with regular Museum admission, and accessible to wheelchair users. School groups are welcome – please call the Museum for a reservation at (361) 277-2866.
