The City of Cuero, in cooperation with the Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum, is preparing a Small Community Recreation Grant to be submitted to the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department. We are conducting an on-line Recreation Needs Survey that allows residents to participate in the selection of recreation elements for the proposed 1-acre downtown pocket park. The more people who complete the on-line survey, the more complete will be the picture for this area. The results of the Needs survey will determine what new public recreation opportunities will be constructed if the grant application is successful.

How Will Your Input Help Secure a Park Grant?
The competition for Park Grants is very intense. We will be competing against other small communities statewide. The most competitive applications include evidence that they are proposing recreation construction in response to documented needs of residents.
We are requesting that you and your family participate by completing an Electronic Recreation Needs Survey. All family members can complete and submit a survey. We are also asking that you urge others in the community to also have their families take the Needs Survey. Completing the survey takes less than 10 minutes and the entire community benefits from high participation. Please support the Park project by completing the survey today.
